Dr. Shelley Loui
Dr. Shelley Loui was born and raised in Honolulu and is a proud graduate of Mid-Pacific Institute. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and went on to receive her medical degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency training in 2003 through the University of Hawai‘i at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women and Children, where she has cared for families ever since. Dr. Loui worked at the Kapiolani newborn nursery for a few years while starting her private practice alongside Dr. Jeremy Lam.
After many years in solo private practice, Dr. Loui decided to join Children’s Doctors in 2025 with Dr. Derek Ching and Dr. Tawni Gesteuyala. She will continue to provide compassionate, family-centered care and is passionate about building strong, lasting relationships with patients and families—treating each child as if they were her own.
Dr. Loui is married to Dr. Bennett Loui, an internal medicine physician at Straub Benioff Medical Center. Together, they are raising three children who keep them busy with baseball, soccer, and musical theater. In her free time, Dr. Loui enjoys supporting local organizations, including her service on the Board of the Variety School of Hawai‘i, which serves children with cognitive and social challenges. She also loves traveling, running and spending time with family and friends.
